Supplements: which are worth it and which are wasted money

An honest guide from behind the counter. What we recommend, what we do not, and why most people take what they do not need.

We sell supplements, so what follows goes against our own commercial interest. We are writing it anyway.

Most people take what they do not need. Generic multivitamins, fat burners, collagen in irrelevant doses. Bought on marketing, not on deficiency.

What we do commonly see missing, and where correcting it shows:

  • Magnesium. The most common deficiency we see. Cramps, muscle tension, light sleep, a twitching eyelid. In bisglycinate form you notice it within two weeks.
  • Vitamin D. If you work indoors, you are very likely low. It affects mood, immunity and musculoskeletal pain.
  • Omega 3. Only if you do not eat oily fish twice a week. If you do, save your money.
  • Collagen with vitamin C. It works, but only hydrolyzed and at real ten-gram doses. Without vitamin C your body cannot synthesize its own and you are wasting money.

What we almost never recommend: stimulant fat burners, aggressive laxative detoxes, and any product promising results without changing anything else.

The rule we use. A supplement makes sense when it covers a real deficiency or supports a specific process you are already working on. If it does neither, you do not need it — and we will tell you so in the consultation even if you walk out without buying anything.
